Canoe, Explore, and Live the Delaware River this summer on one of Pack Shack Adventures, Inc. 5 day / 50 miler canoe camping trips. Fishing, Swimming, Island Exploring, Beach Combing, or just lazing around are all part of the fun! Enjoy snorkeling, rump-bumping through a white water rapid, hiking to the Old Dutch Copper Mines, or jumping off "Jump Rock" into the cool waters of the Delaware; not to mention our great Home Style Cooking and Dutch Oven Baking. Our trips are fully guided and include everything you need to have a great adventure except for your personal gear and sleeping bag. If you are a Scout  and would like to work on Merit Badges or advancements our Instructor / Guides will be glad to help, time and weather permitting.

Location

We will be paddling approximately 52 miles of the beautiful Delaware River as it winds its way through the Mountains and Farmlands of the Delaware Water Gap Recreation Area. The trip runs from Port Jervis, New York to Delaware Water Gap, Pennsylvania.

Pack Shack Adventures, Inc.

Pack Shack opened as the Pocono Mountain's first "true mountaineering" store in May 1974. We ran our first Adventure Trip in 1975 as we took a group to Grand Canyon, AZ for a two week backpacking trip. We also started the Poconos first Technical Rock Climbing School and a complete Cross Country Skiing Center. We have been offering quality high adventure trips ever since. In August 1976, Pack Shack Adventures, Inc. was formed as a part of Pack Shack to offer a variety of outdoor activities and adventures. In the summer of 1985 we ran our first 5 Day / 50 Mile Canoe Adventure with the Boy Scouts. It soon became our most popular adventure trip. We have operated since 1974 with an accident free safety record, and are licensed by the National Park Service and are insured. All of our senior guides are trained in CPR, Lifesaving, First Aid, and River Rescue, as well as completing our own in-house 18 hour guide training program. We are constantly striving to remain the best outfitters, offering the best outdoor adventures in the Poconos.
