A Canoe Camping and
Native American Earthlore Week-end
Annually - First weekend of June.
The trip will be conducted by Pack Shack
Adventures, Inc., a leader in in outfitting canoe adventures on the Delaware River since
1974, will take care of all the canoeing and camping needs for the week-end. Chuck
Gentlemoon will be conducting the Native American songs and drumming on a 36"
pow-wow drum. Later he will share some Lenape stories with us around the campfire. Chuck
is an avid drummer and plays at pow-wows in the US and Canada. He has a great respect for
mother earth and will share his knowledge with us.
Chuck and the Pack Shack Adventures, Inc. Staff will be
teaming up for the activities. We will be teaching Traditional Lenape games and crafts, as
well as some drumming and storytelling. For out craft project we will be making a
traditional choker out of bone and glass beads. We will also have some leather if you want
to make a medicine bag. A traditional Lenape meal of soup or stew, fry bread, buffalo (or
beef) burgers, and natural sage and sassafras teas will be served.
Pack Shack Adventures, Inc. will give you basic canoeing instruction and
conduct the on water activities. Water activities include snorkeling, rump bumping
(floating through the rapids in your life jacket), jump rock and wildlife observation. We
will include all group gear, canoes, paddles, life jackets, and meals.
Scout groups of 30 or more may book this program for their own private
weekend. Call for available dates.

Deposits and Payments
Everything included: $150.00*, per person.
A $75.00 per person non-refundable deposit is due within two weeks after
your trip booking is confirmed. Your trip balance is due in full a minimum of
four weeks before your trip date. Additional guests may be added to
your trip at anytime by calling Pack Shack Adventures, Inc. Any additional
deposits for additional guests can be worked out at that time.
